The Pacific Institute believes that excellence will be achieved through recognising the value of every individual. In order to achieve the successful implementation of this policy, The Pacific Institute will:
- Issue the policy statement to all its staff and associate colleagues and ensure that it should be available on request to participants and other interested parties
- Provide development activity appropriate to the needs of its staff and associate colleagues, on a regular basis
- Ensure that issues of equal opportunity and diversity are addressed as an integral part of programme development/review

Maintain an Equality and Diversity Steering group, with appropriate representation, to oversee the development and implementation of the Policy and to advise on changes and amendments as appropriate. The Impact of the policy on all key areas, such as business performance, recruitment and the delivery of services shall be assessed. The Policy shall be reviewed bi-annually and signed by the Managing Director.
