Nature of Project
Addressing the organisational problems caused through a necessary but untimely restructuring within an industry leader in container production in Hong Kong.
The Challenge
Industrial changes from a financial crisis and increasing competition, led to a forced restructuring within the organsiation. Management was cut by 30%, and staff numbers by 21%. The restructuring led to a decline in productivity initially as staff felt concerned and anxious about their roles and the security of the company. A decision was taken to address these by focusing on organisational culture.
